Ireland is a country known for its unique nature, green landscapes, beautiful coastline and medieval castles. It has a lot of amazing things to do and great places to visit. I had wanted to visit Ireland for quite a long time now, so I finally decided to visit Dublin at the end of August this year. Enjoy my list of 7 things you must do in Dublin!
1. Visit the trendy Temple Bar area
Temple Bar is the trendy area in Dublin filled with bars, restaurants, cafes and pubs. It is the perfect place to visit for a night out, beautiful photos or just a walk to enjoy the architecture and the busy city life. It is so iconic you must see it when visiting Dublin.

2. Enjoy Dublin’s parks
Go for a relaxing walk in one of Dublin’s beautiful green parks – St Stephen’s Green, Merrion Square, Phoenix Park, War Memorial Park or National Botanical Gardens.
Phoenix Park is knows for the deer that live in it. Please note though that you might actually need to go and find them. We didn’t actually see any. But then again, we didn’t spend too much time looking for them.
3. Go shopping at the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre
We wandered into Stephen’s Green shopping centre by accident, not knowing about its unique interior. The shopping centre has over 100 outlets, so it is perfect for a day of shopping. Or one of those Insta-worthy shots.
4. Wander the lovely Grafton Street
5. Take photos of Dublin’s flowers
One thing that I thought was quite unique in Dublin was the amount of flowers used to decorate the pubs. So many photo opportunities!
6. Visit one of Dublin’s markets
On Saturday we wandered into one of Dublin’s markets – Temple Bar food market. It sold various different foods – fruit, vegetables, pastries, bread, and other local products. We bought a healthy smoothie and a delicious quiche, sat down and enjoyed watching the locals shop at the market.
7. Leave the city for a day
Howth is a quick journey from Dublin Connolly station. Go for a walk to the Howth Lighthouse and see if you can spot some seals. We did!
At the other end of the DART train journey is Bray, which is an excellent place for a day trip. Bray is one of the best places to visit if you’re looking for great hiking routes with wonderful views.
Other places that you must visit in Dublin include the Guinness storehouse, the Dublin castle, Trinity College Library, day trips from Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, Giant Causeway, Glendalough.
